Appearing on television or radio is a great opportunity to share your story. When performed well, it can do wonders for your brand but when executed poorly, it can be significantly damaging, which is why media training is so important.
The answer to that is now. You never know when the opportunity to be interviewed may occur at a moment's notice, or when an incident with your organisation becomes newsworthy, so it's always best to be prepared and avoid embarrassment.
At Sallis Media we're happy to work with you to discuss the best training programme to suit your needs. Usually this will include a group session teaching the fundamentals of being interviewed on radio and television, followed by 1-2-1 coaching sessions for those individuals you think would either benefit from additional support or would be the most likely to appear in front of a camera or microphone. These sessions involve role-playing authentic interview scenarios followed by expert critique and feedback.
But where Sallis Media training differs is that we offer customised training, where all the practice questions posed are specific to your organisation and reflect real-life experience.
Immediately afterwards, we'll supply you with course notes outlining everything you've been taught during the training, so ahead of a media interview you can refresh your learning and perform at your best. We'll also provide any audio recordings made during the individual sessions. Plus, we're always available if you need further assistance.
